The much anticipated Kiddie triathlon happened last weekend before we left town. The kids were very excited. We were worried we might not have time to do it since we needed to leave town. Aaron mentioned this to Carson and he said, "well I guess I'll have to go really fast."
He was very excited for the race.
He made a poster. "Go running and biking and swimming." :)
Then it was time to line up. He was probably the oldest in his age category since he was still in the 5 and under side.
Camilla was less than enthused. We had to wake her up to get ready, she was having none of it. I stayed with her and she drank water...
and held up Carson's sign....
and then got tired of that and sat on the ground...this girl!
Carson came storming around the corner, way ahead of Aaron (who was carrying Brooke) in first place. He then took off on his bike. Biking is not Carson's strongest category but he did it and made it to the swimming. He was the only kid in his age group that did the big kid swim. He even did it again when Simon came in.
Simon was excited to have a partner to swim his lap with.
Then it was time for awards. Even Millie got one.
Brooke made off with a goody bag. Oh my goodness did this little girl love her goody bag. I'm pretty sure she ate every item inside of it before we made it out of Austin.
Such a fun event. We were sad to have to leave so quickly after it was over but I'm so glad my kids got to participate again this year!
