Soccer

Soccer season has officially begun. Millie started off with leg clinging and being held but after I bribed her she was all over it, running after the ball and trying to score. She has a cute team and we had a lot of fun. Aaron is coaching her team.

Carson also had his first game. A lot changed this year for him - goalies, rules, a big field. But he had a fun time and really enjoyed playing goalie. I have no pictures because I had all the kids by myself and it was dang hot - I'm just happy we made in and out in one piece. :) Next week.

And just because I love this picture. Saturday night the kids watched a movie and one at a time they climbed into Aaron's lap to cuddle. My kiddos sure love their Daddy.

House Update

The new counter top is finally in and oh my goodness, she is beautiful.

Will someone come and paint my kitchen cabinets? Pretty, pretty please. :)

And I turned this Goodwill steal:

Into this amazing TV stand. Love it!

Holding onto Summer

We are holding onto Summer for as long as we can and cramming in as many swim days as we possibly can.

And also loving our slow-mo videos. :)

Just some happenings...

Aaron got to see Federrer play at the US Open. Lucky duck.

It was a quick match but Aaron said it was awesome.

Millie is back in dance class and loving it.

And we are still doing lots of pink and purple nails.

Aaron and Carson have been playing Super Mario Brothers a whole lot. I am not sure who enjoys it more. :)

Life is busy these days. I feel like I do the same things most days but that my days are very full. I really am enjoying my kids at this stage. Millie being in preschool part of the day 2 days a week has been good for our relationship. :)

Stake Service Project

Our stake had a service project this past weekend at a middle school not far from our house. We did a lot of good work. I was amazed at how many people were there and how much we were able to get done. We really tried to explain the importance of this to our kids and I am glad that we were able to be a part of it. We were lucky enough to get to be a part of the wild flower planting. The kids loved making the seed balls and throwing them out.

Of course there was lots of snow cone eating going one as well.

The kids really wanted to wear the Helping Hands jerseys.

Aaron and I traded off after that taking care of kids and working. We worked on the landscaping of the gazebo that we built. At the end the kids came out to help us too. They loved working on this part and raking the dirt.

Such a great service project. Aaron and I were both so impressed with how hard everyone was working.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a super fun Labor Day weekend. Aaron had Friday and Monday off so we were able to get a ton done and have time to play. We had friends over on Friday and Saturday night to BBQ and swim. We sure are enjoying our pool.

Saturday morning Aaron and the kids took a hike by our house.

On Sunday we got to keep baby Jackson and we sure loved it.

On Monday we did Blue Hole - of course and it was perfect - of course. The weather was perfect, the food was fabulous and the company was great. The kids had a great day and were wiped out by bed time.

Lots of sand digging, rocking finding, water fall hunting and frogs!

And there was lots of rope swinging, always our favorite part. Such a fun day!

So we moved...

And my life has been crazy. I've been so busy packing, cleaning, moving and living in chaos. We have had workers at our house most of the time we have lived here. It has been a lot of work. But I love how it is turning out. Here are some pictures of the process.

After the carpet came up, still popcorn on those ceilings.

Ceilings scarped and wall is coming down.

Look at the size of that beam! But it is keeping me from having a post in the middle of the room.

Wall is down.

All finished with wall, time for new floors.

Slight love affair with these floors.

And its starting to feel like a home.

I still have SO much work to do. A renovation is a lot of work and I sure hope our marriage survives it. :)

All about Millie

Today my Millie girl started pre-k. My sweet girl. I missed her so much today but I am so excited for her and know that she is going to have so much fun. Just a few pictures of my girl lately that I love.

She fell asleep on Aaron while he was working a few weekend ago. It was adorable. She was so worn out. I also took a nap with Millie last week. She just fell asleep with me cuddling in bed. Millie is our cuddler.

She is so funny and Brooke just adores her. Brookey is really going to miss her.

She is still falling asleep in the car most afternoons. That is the one constant with her.

Grandma brought her new school clothes. She loved them so much and even though I told her she had to wait until school to wear them I caved and let her wear them pretty much every day until school started. :)

When you spill Mom's make up (her new make up), you have to work hard to clean it up.

Then here she is today, starting preschool like a champ. She told me she did not want to take a picture but she walked right into her class and started painting. She said she had a great day and her teacher said she was great and she couldn't believe how smart she is.

She told me she learned how to speak with kind words, she ate her lunch and snacks, she played outside and swung on the biggest swing, she made some new friends, she learned how to do the macaroni cheese freeze, and she told me all about the centers and how the number on the card means how many people can play there at one time. I loved hearing every detail and believe me I love it because we get so few details from our boy.

Preschool is hard work. This afternoon we had to do some relaxing in the pool. :)
