April at a glance

April has flown by and I haven't been very good at keeping up with it. Here are a few of the highlights of the month.

Aaron went to Utah to attend Blake's baptism. It was a quick trip but he was happy to be there to spend time with family and support Blake. We are grateful for so many cousins who set such good examples for our kids.

I was able to get away for a little date with the C man, just the two of us. We hit up Sonic for tater tots and slushes. we talked about life and first grade. I so love this boy.

Lots of Saturday soccer.

Trips to Snow Monster.

We also took a trip to Dallas to be at Drew's baptism and the blessing of Cora and Juliette. I don't have many pictures but the kids loved swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's hotel in between all the fun.

Sweet Camilla spoiled me with pictures and flowers. I love this picture, it is one of my favorites ever from her.

Camilla wears herself out.

Watching the boys play soccer.

It has been a fun, busy month - just counting down the weeks until it is time for our baby to get here.

General Conference

We had such a lovely General Conference Weekend. The weather was fabulous. We started off the day with a couple of soccer games. Millie scored 3 goals in her soccer debut. Carson got to play goalie and had a lot of fun too but was feeling a little under the weather. (that poor kid gets the allergies so bad)

My sweet mother puts together these great conference notebooks that the kids look forward to all year. They loved their notebooks this year and we moved our new table over in front of the TV, put snacks on the TV stand and set up crayons, markers and playdoh. No, we didn't catch every word of conference but we did watch it all and the kids did really great.

On Sunday morning Aaron and I were wiped out and we slept in, like late. I woke up feeling kind of guilty since I had wanted to make a big, fun breakfast and I knew the Cs had been up for awhile. Well I rolled over to find a note from Camilla that said, "I Love You Very Much Mom, Love, Camilla" and a beautiful rainbow. Then my sweet children brought us breakfast in bed. These sweet perfect children. Bacon and cheese sandwiches. :) They also made strawberry lemonade.

They really are the best. I may or may not have gone back and cooked the bacon a little longer and then friend up some eggs to go with them. But it was the most perfect breakfast ever.

Just another week

Brookey is really starting to enjoy the trampoline. She loves to jump the most when she is all by herself and either Aaron or I will sit and watch her.

Brooke is also starting to show interest in the piano.

Gorgeous weather called for a trip to Sonic and a park date.

The kids love to read to each other on the couch, nothing makes me happier.

Happy Easter

We got together with our friends to celebrate Easter this year. Man do our kids get excited about Easter, its like Christmas level excitement. Carson was out of school for Good Friday, it was pretty fun day, just so nice to have Carson home with us. I had a doctor's appointment and all is good with baby. We took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese for a fun evening and then we hit up Chick Fila for dinner. It was a fun family night.

Then on Saturday we had soccer in the morning and then we let the kids do the Easter egg hunt at the gym. They had a great time. Then we came home and met our friends that afternoon at the park for a potluck and another egg hunt.

Brooke was all over it.

Camilla was probably the first one done. It was her 3rd egg hunt and she had turned pro.

We had a great time playing at the park, hanging out with friends and enjoying the beautiful weather. On Saturday night Aaron decided he wanted to have a nice Easter dinner. I was not interested in cooking at all, like nothing. So Aaron came to the rescue. He went to the store and got everything, the ham, the potatoes, the casserole, the rolls, the dessert, he got it all. He spent a lot of time in the kitchen making everything. It was a fabulous dinner and we enjoyed the day greatly. While the ham was cooking we went on a family walk.

I so love these people.

We had an Easter family night that night and talked about the reason we celebrate and then the kids watched some Easter videos while we made Aaron's homemade peanut butter chocolate bars.

Happy Easter, so grateful for my Savior and that through Him I have this life for eternity.
