So apparently I shouldn't take my own pictures...

So last night Aaron came home from work and as soon as he walked in the door, he started looking for something. He started ranting about being upset with me and wanting the camera. He said that I put up a horrible picture because, "everyone is saying you have a little belly when really you have a big, fat belly." He was determined to take a better picture to showcase this. The funny part is, he was seriously upset about it. My sweet, sweet husband, could someone please comment about how fat I am?? :)

Lately...

My random thoughts for the week...

How is my belly going to get any bigger?? (I know you mothers are laughing out loud right now, but to me and Aaron, I'm huge)

When will I start to be able to feel the baby kicking and when will Aaron be able to feel it?

Do Sonic Strawberry limeade slushes count as a fruit serving, I see real strawberries in there?

I am loving this beautiful weather, I had forgotten how fabulous the Texas winter is.

Everyone keeps telling me to hold off on maternity clothes as long as I can because I'll get sick of them, but I can't wait to wear them...

I could literally spend so much money on nursery stuff, it is so cute! I had no idea how much adorable nursery decorations there would be.

And here is an updated belly shot. Its not very good because I took it myself and I had a hard time getting it in there. And I know I'm leaning back but I couldn't get the angle right. My belly is its biggest after I go running so I snapped a shot right after I got back from a run this week. So just ignore the sweat.

Valentine's Day

And only a week late. We had a pretty relaxed Valentine's Day. Aaron and I celebrated on Friday night at Outback because I had to go to the youth dance on Saturday night but we did squeeze in some Spring Creek for lunch that day. My parents had a little Valentine's party and my Mom decorated so cute, of course. We had breakfast for dinner and then the next night celebrated again with steaks. My Mom decorated the fireplace with all of our presents and it was so fun because Big Mac got his first gift. I'm pretty sure he'll love it. I just can't get over the little clothes. While I admittedly own my fair share of baby girl clothes, I never gathered much of a boy stash. I am so excited to shop for this guy. My Dad thinks he's already spoiled... :) I hope everyone had a fabulous day filled with love and chocolate!

Not wanting to lose the spotlight

So in case any of you were wondering if our sweet puppy has received any neglect since the news of our little arrival, you can rest easy. In fact I'm pretty sure she's more spoiled than ever. She does seem to notice that my belly is expanding and has greatly enjoyed taking some extra naps with me. But perhaps sensing her spotlight would be fading soon she has stepped up her game lately. It was so funny because the day before we found out Big Mac is a boy, which was Aaron's proudest moment ever, Jo decided she could jump in the water and fetch, Aaron's second proudest moment. (A very close second) Every Sunday we take her on a walk up to this park that has a little pond in the middle that she loves to jump into and chase the ducks but has never fetched out of it. I wish I could describe to you how happy this made Aaron. He once told me when we were dating that all he ever wanted growing up, his whole life, was a dog that would fetch like this out of the water. So, knowing that many of you will think this is ridiculous, here is a video of one of Aaron's proudest moments. He told everyone you can think of about this and then remembered, "oh yeah and we're having a boy." :)

Everything you ever wanted to know about Big Mac :)

So I know you all are just dying to hear all about our little Big Mac. First of all, we call him Big Mac because in our very first sonogram the nurse said he was as long as a sesame seed. Well sesame seeds make Aaron think of Big Macs, so we've called him that since then. No, we don't have a name picked out. We talk about it everyday but nothing has jumped out for us. We've narrowed it down to a few but its hard with so many little boys on Aaron's side of the family. I'm due on July 6th, right in the middle of a hot, hot summer. I plan on spending a lot of time in the pool. :)

Stats on Big Mac, he's very long and skinny and loves to show off during his sonograms. I feel him move sometimes, but I haven't felt any big kicks or anything. I'm anxious to feel him move all the time.

I can't believe I made it half way, I feel so much better now than I did before. I was convinced in the beginning that there would be no more Pierson babies... :)

Thanks for all the congratulations, it is so fun to share good news with your friends!

I found out I was pregnant right before Halloween and told Aaron on Halloween with a poem when we spent a couple of days in Brownsville for Aaron to do an inventory. Here's the video clip of when I told him. We were both very, very happy.

Yep, pretty sure he's in there!

It' s true, Aaron and I are expecting a little baby boy and we couldn't be happier. Many of you are aware of the trials we encountered to get this guy here and know what a blessing he has been for us. Above is me the day we found out it was a boy and below is the little guy at our latest sonogram. We just think he's the cutest baby ever and I can't wait to tell you all every detail of what's going on with him!!

Ana Grace's Baptism

Aaron and I made a quick trip up to Arkansas this weekend so we could attend Ana Grace's baptism. We left early, early Saturday morning and drove back early on Sunday morning so we weren't even in Arkansas for 24 hours but it so worth the trip. Ana Grace was so excited and just glowing. She looked so beautiful. Aaron also had the privilege of confirming Ana Grace and that was such a special experience for him. We also had a little birthday lunch at Jason's Deli and then a birthday dinner with a princess cake at Aaron's parents. I was actually pretty miserable the whole trip because I got really sick on Friday before we left. So outside of the baptism, I mostly just spent the trip in the bed/car sleeping. Then I begged Aaron to take me home early on Sunday so I could go to the doctor. My sweet Aaron took such good care of me and is now paying the consequences... We are grateful to live close enough to Aaron's family to enjoy these special moments!
