And its up!

Okay so our house officially went up on the market on Friday. It was like a great sigh of relief. Yes its not super fun keeping your house crazy clean and organized all the time with two small children, or waking them up from naps to go get in the car for showings BUT it is so much better than trying to get everything ready, that was horrible.

So yes, we're moving. Aaron has decided to go back to school to get his MBA. It was a very hard decision but we feel like it is the right thing to do for his career. I am so proud of how hard he has worked and we are very excited to be moving to Austin for Aaron to attend the University of Texas. It was a hard decision but we feel like this is the best place for our family for many reasons. I have always loved Austin and am really excited for this fun adventure in our lives. We didn't want to say anything until we knew for sure that Aaron was accepted and that we felt good about it. I am VERY sad to be leaving our home and friends here. I hate to think about starting over again but we know that this is what we need to do. So Aaron starts school in the beginning of August and now we just need to sell this house. And rumor on the street is that today was Aaron's last Saturday to go into the office for awhile. I told him I would believe it when I see it but I've got my fingers crossed. :)

Here are a few pictures of our house:

The front. Aaron's parents were so nice to come down and help me with the landscaping in the front and back yard. My parents and Aaron's brother also came over to help as well. I could not have gotten the house ready without their help.

The backyard. I cry when I think about not having a backyard for a few years. Seriously, we spend hours here everyday...everyday. Today I turned on the radio and listened to conference while Camilla played in the yard and Carson played on the play set. I will miss this yard.

Our Living Room. I had really wanted a room for us to spend time in that didn't have a TV in it. I didn't want a TV period so we were lucky to find a house that we could have both in.

I could eat this kitchen up. PS- its never this clean normally. :)

Many meals eaten here. I have used those benches more than I ever knew I would. The kids eat lunch there for play group. Carson plays on them all the time. Now the bar we have never used like I thought we would. It looks nice though.

Our bathroom. It is so clean that Aaron and I have started showering upstairs so I don't have to clean it all the time. Ha ha.

Camilla's Room. This picture does not do this room justice. It. is. perfect.

Carson's Room. It is time to turn his room into a big boy room but not until after we move. I just wasn't up to making any major changes until we move.

Upstairs. We turned this large fourth bedroom into our TV room/playroom/computer room. It is a multi-purpose room and has been so nice to have. I don't have a dining room, which would be a waste of space for me because dining room furniture is last on my list, instead we have this room which has been perfect. Plus when people stay with us they have their own space with a bathroom that has worked out so nice.

The master. Holy cow, this room got a major overhaul. We got a new dresser, new end tables, curtains, a bed frame, lamps, decor, and a bed skirt. Our master was not pretty, you may remember from previous posts, our poor bed has sat on the floor with our good friend's old furniture. I love how the room looks. Aaron and I always say that we feel like we are sleeping in a hotel.

Now I just need to catch up on the last month of our life and for someone to buy our house please.

Gorgeous house! Oh I miss normal mainland houses - someday I will live in one again...maybe! :) (ours is single wall construction) starting in a new place has its challenges for sure but it will all be worth it! :) Good luck with everything! aloha!

What a beautiful home! I'm with you, there's nothing better than a big yard. I'll lose it when we move, because I doubt we'll find a yard like we have now. Congrats on UT and Austin! Sounds like an exciting adventure. Go Bevo. :)

P.S. You're so funny about the braids. I'm not kidding, one day there was just enough hair to braid. It will happen before you know it. Then you'll spend the rest of your life detangling.
