18 Months Old!

My little boy had his 18 month old check up and it was probably his worst one yet. He would not let me put him down and did not want anyone, doctor or nurse, touching him. But we were able to kinda/sorta get his stats:

Height: 34" (90th)
Weight: 24 lb. 6 oz. (30th)
Head: 18 3/4" (50th)

He has stayed pretty consistent in the percentiles and just keeps growing. He looks like such a big boy to me. He is in just the most fun age ever. We seriously cannot get enough of our Car Car man. He is into everything, pulling out everything, climbing on everything, running everywhere, and pretty much wearing me out everyday. While doing some shopping for Christmas we turned around to find him pulling off everything the shelves at the store.
He still loves books like its going out of style. He would seriously read for hours everyday but I have to limit it because it starts to give me headaches after awhile.
This kid still eats like a teenage boy, it seriously amazes me somedays when he eats more than me. (And most of you know that I can put it away) His favorites are all vegetables and fruit, cheese, graham crackers, milk, pizza, and quesadillas.
He is still not talking very much. He is repeating a few words but for now has stayed pretty quiet. Which has its positives and negatives. I could do without the whining noise he makes when he wants something and gets frustrated that I don't know what it is. It is funny though becaue he loves to sing and has learned a few songs but just doesn't talk. But when he does say a word he is very proud of himself, that could also be because we get so excited for him.

He is still a great sleeper and very interested in everything. He also loves doing everything me and Aaron do.
He is going through a very clingy stage and loves his Dad more than you can imagine. Sometimes people ask me if it bothers me that he prefers his Dad over me and I say, "No!" I am a very close 2nd and we don't see Aaron Monday through Friday so I am perfectly happy for him to want his Dad for everything on the weekend. :) I feel like I could go on and on about what he is doing these days because he is just changing so much!

Beck is pretty much the exact same. He was not a happy camper at the doctor when they weighed him and tried to touch him at all. And he's not talking that much either. Did you doctor seem concerned? When I said that he could say maybe seven words (how should I be able to count how many words he says right then when they ask?), she was like, "I'd like for him to be saying ten, so I'm a little concerned about that," and then she gave me a pamphlet for a place to be checked out. I'm not sure if I'll do it or not.

What a big boy. It's so fun to see how big he's getting, and so incredibly cute! As for the talking, you know I worried about Drew... I even have him going in to see someone this week, but really, it seems like overnight. He's having conversations now, I can understand most of what he says, and he's becoming clearer and clearer every day. His pediatrician wanted me to have him see someone when he was 18 months old, but everyone told me to just be patient, and they were right. He's doing great.

Give Carson a huge hug for us!
