The end of another soccer season

Spring Soccer has come to an end. Both our kids were on great teams had a fun season.

This was Carson's 5th season of soccer and he especially liked playing goalie. He had great coaches and a very fun team.

This was Camilla's second season and she sure loves having her Dad as the coach. I loved this soccer team. They were so much fun to watch each week.

Aaron really is the best coach ever!

Father/Son campout

Carson and Aaron had their Father and Son campout this weekend. Carson was so excited to go camping with just Dad. They got to stop at the store on the way out and he got to pick out all the food and yummy treats. They got to the campsite and got all set up and the fun began.

Playing soccer.

Hot dogs and soda makes for a happy boy.

They played and played for hours.

With his best bud, Simon.

They got to stay up very late - until midnight and consumed many s'mores and had a great time. Carson was very tired but they got up in the morning early to eat breakfast, pack up and get home in time to get to soccer games. Both Father and Son look forward to this campout all year long. It won't be long until Spencer will be joining them.

Spencer Richard Pierson

He's here, he is here!! Spencer Richard was born on Monday May 16th at 11:02 AM. He weighed in at 6 pounds 4 ounces and 19 inches long. We are so in love with this baby BOY!

So it started early Monday morning when I had a few contractions and then felt my water break. Normally for me water breaking means baby is coming soon so we got everything together quickly and our friend Margaret came over to stay at our house. I called my parents and they head out about an hour later as well. I got to the hospital around 1 in the morning and it was pretty slow. I got checked in right away and we started waiting. I still wasn't really having any contractions. So we watched Friends and we waited...and waited...and waited.

Then the on call doctor came by and broke the rest of my water sack. I didn't even know you could do that, have part of your water break and not the whole thing. They kept saying that now my contractions were going to come stronger and faster. Well that didn't end up being the case. Still nothing. So we sent my parents home to get Carson and Camilla to school and send Margaret home. So they took care of the kids and then brought Brooke up to the hospital while we waited for the show to get on the road. My doctor came to see me and went ahead and gave me a bit of pitocin and I got my epidural at the same time.

Then the contractions got going. Once they came they came with a fury. I had an epidural and I know it was working but I could still feel every contraction and felt so in tune with what was happening. I also used all my breathing techniques I had practiced and Aaron was with me every step of the way talking me through everything. I looked at my parents and told them I was in transition and that it was time to take Brooke out. So they left with her and I had two more contractions and nurse said I was a 9. I had a couple more contractions and I told her I was ready to push. She checked me again and I was complete. So we waited for the doctor. Aaron helped me breath through my contractions while we waited and we were getting so excited that the baby was almost here.

My doctor arrived and it was time to push. I pushed through a whole contraction and then on the next one baby really started moving down. I could feel that it was almost out and so I kept pushing past my next contraction to get it out. Our came the head and we were dying to know what this baby was and then she pulled out the rest of the body and we knew right away - it was a BOY!! We were so surprised as we had both guessed girl. But we could not have been happier. We had the name Spencer Richard all picked out and I couldn't wait to get my hands on him.

I got to hold him very briefly before they took him away because he was purple and not breathing very well. They worked on him for a bit but told me that he had to get to the nursery and get on oxygen. So they let me hold him for a few minutes before he had to go.

My parents brought Brooke in to see him before he had to go.

Then Aaron went with Spencer to the nursery and I stayed behind wishing so badly that I could be holding my sweet baby boy.

He got to the nursery and immediately got much better. He had to be monitored for an hour and my pediatrician had to come and see him but he got to come back to me and was just fine. Then it was time for his big brother and sister to come meet him. They were so excited and loved holding baby Spencer.

Carson is thrilled to have a brother and for our family to be even again - 3 boys and 3 girls.

Our sweet angel boy.

The hospital was filled with visitors back and forth and lots of cuddling and feeding Spencer.

Brooke is very excited to be a big sister now and I can not believe how big she is. Just a few days ago she was my baby.

Some pictures of the girls with Spencer. He will be very well taken care of.

The kids were so excited to see him each day.

But no one wanted to hold him as much as Camilla.

I don't love being in the hospital but I sure love the alone time I get with my babies. Nothing else to worry about but bonding with my babe.

Then just like that it was time to go home.

I came home to a perfectly clean house, a full fridge and all the laundry done. My Mom and Dad had been working very hard while I was in the hospital and I could not have been more grateful for all they did for us. They are so unselfish.

More to come soon but we just feel so blessed to have Spencer here healthy and perfect.

Pre-K Graduation

Our sweet Millie girl had her Pre-K graduation. Even though it was the day after we brought Spencer home from the hospital it was something we were not going to miss. It was the sweetest graduation ever. I loved every part of it. they started off by singing to us.

Then Camilla got her diploma.

With her fabulous teachers, Ms. Melanie and Ms. Emily. They were the absolute best teachers.

Then they handed out awards to each to each of the kids. Camilla got the best effort award. She does work very hard at everything she does.

Then I head home with the babe but the rest stayed for the after party.

They had lunch and of course, cake.

We loved Camilla's school this year and Brooke is so excited to begin preschool there in the fall. Camilla came home with an owl, a scrapbook filled with pictures of her friends and the fun things they did this year in school and a great beginner Bible. To end the graduation they sang this adorable song and at the end screamed out, "Good bye Pre-K, Hello Kindergarten!!"

Deloitte

We finally branded our kids.

Deloitte is a big supporter of the March of Dimes so when they had their annual run/walk we joined in on the party. We couldn't make it to the actual run because of soccer games but we attended the after party and of course got the snow cones. They were closing up a lot of the booths early because a storm was headed in but we got to play on the playground for awhile before heading home. This has been the rainiest May ever.

Mother's Day

I was very spoiled this year for Mother's Day. It started with a whole week of breakfast at Millie's preschool. I had presents waiting for me that she had made. She loved giving me this hat she made for me and she filled out a questionnaire about me. She also made a plate for me that I love. It was so fun to eat breakfast with her during the week.

On Mother's Day the kids gave me gifts and I stayed in bed most of the day relaxing and then Aaron made an amazing dinner. A pecan crusted salmon with asparagus and potatoes. It was so delicious.

I loved being showered with love from my 3 littles. I so love my kids. I can't believe we will be adding another little one to our family soon.

Pool!

Our pool has caused us so many headaches this spring. Aaron has spent countless hours trying to get it cleaned out. It has been green, brown, grey and its finally coming around to blue. Here is a picture of when Aaron was back washing the pump, it was this green. It happened again and again while we have been cleaning it out.

This family of ours better use this pool a whole lot this summer. Who knew pools were so much work? :)

Carson's Spring Performance

Our sweet first grader had his Spring performance at school this week. It was so adorable. I loved all the songs they sang and we loved watching Carson with his friends.

He sure is a handsome boy.

The girls were so excited to watch him perform. They moved their way right to the front and watched intently the whole show.

Just a little video.

We have loved Carson's class these past two years and can't believe its coming to an end. We sure love this boy.

She was a very happy girl afterwards and loved her flowers. Dad was pretty proud of his ballerina too.

Such a beauty.

And a belly shot with Mom.

Best Grandparents drove to Austin to watch her show. she was so excited to have them there.

Last shot as a family of 5.
