Just a quick question. Has anyone out there ever frozen cookies after you have baked them? Last week was my dear friend Brooke's birthday and I made her cookies and then Carson got a little stomach bug and I couldn't take them over there. Alas, I was forced to eat all of them. But then someone told me that you can freeze cookies and then eat them later. Is this true? Does it still taste as good? Or is it like freezing fruit because I have not had very good luck with fresh fruit after I freeze it.

Freezing Cookies??
Just a quick question. Has anyone out there ever frozen cookies after you have baked them? Last week was my dear friend Brooke's birthday and I made her cookies and then Carson got a little stomach bug and I couldn't take them over there. Alas, I was forced to eat all of them. But then someone told me that you can freeze cookies and then eat them later. Is this true? Does it still taste as good? Or is it like freezing fruit because I have not had very good luck with fresh fruit after I freeze it.

Hi Haley, I freeze cookies, brownies, and cakes (unfrosted) all the time. I take my cookies out of the oven about a minute or two early and they freeze even better. I actually prefer my chocolate chip cookies really soft out of the oven or after they've been frozen. Brownies do really well too in the freezer. Good luck in the kitchen. I have frozen cookies too and they are fine after i think. In fact, we had frozen cookies from my sister's reception tonight for dessert :). I also love freezing the dough in balls and cooking them later. By the way...we are moving to Texas in January.
I freeze cookies too. I actually like them better because I warm them up to thaw them and then they are warm cookies.

My roommate used to freeze cookies, but I had never heard of doing it before her! They always tasted normal after being frozen though.
i have frozen zucchini bread and it actually was better after!
lol - oh haley my dear haley - you are so cute! I grew UP on frozen cookies girl! My mom would always freeze some (in a big ol ziploc) from each batch she made. Then after we ate all the ones she left out- a few days later ..."voila" magically she had made more! What a great trick...I LOVE them after they are frozen and just thawed for about 5 minutes - yum! Enjoy making cookies - no a/c and crazy humidity here in Hawaii means no oven on EVER... well ok sometimes :) Oh and enjoy that little cutie!
