Gingerbread Houses

I caved and finally bought a gingerbread house kit for our family to decorate. Aaron was in charge of getting this thing together since this is not my forte. The kids were SO excited to decorate this. They asked all day long if it was time for dinner because I told them after dinner we would decorate the gingerbread house.

Late Nights

Millie's sleep schedule is totally off lately. I'm horrible at breaking the pattern so we end up having a lot of time together me and my girl late, late at night. 

Oh a mani pedi at 10:30 PM no big deal. Sleeping is totally for 2 year olds. 

Millie it is time to go to bed. Wait we need to have a picnic first. Total push over. 

Finally I just put her to work. 

I know it has to change, but in truthfulness its kind of fun. 

Boys

We were lucky enough to have a quick visit from Spencer and Adam this weekend. It was so fun to have them in town and Aaron had such a great time with them. Spencer got here late Thursday night and Friday morning they were up and in line at Franklin's for BBQ. 3 hours later, they were eating. 

Spencer said it was life changing food, even better than a Ruth's Chris steak. That is a bold statement. 

Then Friday night after a trip to Chuy's and snow monster the boys went to the highlight of the trip. The Black Keys concert. 

They both agreed that it was the best show they had ever seen and amazing. This was my graduation present to Aaron and I must admit it is some of my best work. A solid gift for me (I am a horrible gift giver)

Saturday afternoon Adam arrived. We went to the gym to swim and then the boys stayed to play basketball and then took turns climbing the rope. 

They all made it to the top. 

Then Saturday night they went to the Bullock museum for the largest screen in Texas to watch a movie. Again, awesome. 

After the movie it was south Austin for food trucks. Torchy's Tacos and then Gordough's for dessert.  

So. Much. Deliciousness. 

Aaron is worn out from the weekend but had such a great time. The kids loved having their Uncle Adam and Uncle Spencer visiting and were very sad they had to go. 

Duets

Carson and I have been playing some piano duets lately. Which is pretty much my favorite thing in the whole wide world. Well Millie wanted in on the action so after we were done she wanted to play a duet with Carson. It was awesome. 

I see a show on the road in these kids' future. 

Christmas

Frosty The Snowman

Camilla's little class had a small winter performance at the end of her class this week. It was just about the cutest thing ever. It was to Frosty the Snowman and Millie was just as pleased as punch to have us all in there watching her. (Aaron came with me)

It was really fun to watch her dance and I have loved watching how much she enjoys her little class each week. Aaron  leaned over to me during the dance and said, "this is for you what its like when Carson scores a goal at soccer for me." I was beaming. Love this girl! 

Holiday Party

Can Carson really be half way done with school already?? Where does the time go? He had his holiday party at school. I signed up to volunteer and when we talked to Carson he said he wanted Daddy to go... shocker. So Aaron took my spot. The kids of course loved Aaron and Carson was thrilled to have his Dad there, the only one as I'm sure you can imagine. Aaron was busy manning the Bingo station so he didn't get to take many pictures but he did capture a few of the book exchange.

Now to be clear, the kids were offered the chance to trade at the end if they wanted to. Well Carson has never been so popular with the ladies. They were all over him wanting to trade. Carson wouldn't budge. He had gotten the biggest book and he wanted to keep it. Aaron quietly spread the rumor that he was keeping it for his sister. Nice move Dad. :) He overheard the girls telling each other, "don't ask Carson for his book he's giving it to his little sister." 

Such a fun day for C man and such a great semester. I am SO excited to have him home for a couple of weeks for winter break. We are going to have SO much fun!
