Another one bites the dust

The girls love to stuff themselves in the lockers at the gym. They are the cutest. This is what they do while Carson showers and gets ready after swim lessons.

And Carson's second front tooth came out this week. It was literally hanging on by a thread and it came out during dinner. He was thrilled with the whole event. He thinks its great to have his two front teeth missing. I know those babies are going to be gone for a long time so I'm feeling kind of sad about it but he is still the cutest boy there's ever been.

I asked Carson what he hoped the tooth fairy would bring and he told me he was hoping for another date but this time one that he could take his whole family on. He really is the sweetest. The tooth fairy luckily flew in late that night after he was already sleeping just in time to leave him a special note to plan a date! The kids were ecstatic when they woke up the next morning. Dad was home and the tooth fairy visited - what are the chances?!!

Spring Break - Week 2

Our Second Week of Spring Break kicked off with Carson finally loosing a very wobbly front tooth. He was so excited about it. He couldn't wait to place it under his pillow for the tooth fairy. The Tooth Fairy brought him a note that said he could go on one date with his Dad for a special lunch and a special drink. Carson was so excited and it took Camilla about 30 seconds to wiggle herself into this date.

So it was Chuy's with Dad and Camilla and special lemonade to drink.

We got much better weather the second week of spring break so we could take bike rides and go on walks and spend more time at home. The kids spent a lot of time playing on the trampoline.

Then it was finally time to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house. The kids had been counting down the days. They were thrilled. Brookey started squealing the moment we pulled up to their house. The kids jumped out of the car and immediately got to work playing. One of the highlights was when Sheppard and Evie got there. Carson was thrilled to play with Sheppy and Millie and Brookey were enthralled with baby Evie (who is not so much a little baby anymore).

We also got to see the twins who are beautiful, perfect, and tiny. And spend some time with Adam and Cassie's family. The kids spent countless hours playing in the garage and driveway with Grandpa. They played soccer and Grandpa built them a really cool car to drive.

On Saturday we went to Costa Vida for lunch, went swimming at my parent's gym, I visited Mimi and went to the temple and then on Saturday night Aaron, Carson, and I went to the Piano Guys concert. We had SO much fun. It was a great show! Carson absolutely loved it.

We let Carson get a big pretzel and nachos during intermission and we were still eating them when the show started back up. Carson immediately took the food, closed it up and put it back under the seat. "We aren't here to eat food Dad, we are here to see the Piano Guy." We sure love this boy and love spending time with just him. He was perfect, of course.

Then on Sunday it was time to come home. The  drive was awful, no sugar coating it. It was probably the worst ever. Traffic was unbelievable and never, let up! We didn't get home until after 6 and we were all worn out. No one napped and so we quickly unloaded the van, got Josie and got ready for bed. Monday morning was no treat. :)

Spring Break - Week 1

So we love that Carson has a two week spring break. We have been looking forward to this for a very long time. The first week is fun to have Carson home but we still have all of Camilla's activities. She still has school and dance, gymnastics, etc. so we don't get to do as much fun stuff but we sure love sleeping in!!

So this means the kids can stay up a bit later at night. I let them read some books in their beds before I turned the lights off one night. Sweet Brookey she fell asleep clutching her book all night long. As soon as she woke up in the morning she told me she needed to take this book back to Millie's room.

Aaron had an early appointment Friday morning in Round Rock. We were still sleeping when he left but he came with the world's best donuts from the famous place in Round Rock. Oh my gosh these donuts were so amazing.

It rained all week long. Seriously every, single day. So on Friday morning I gave the kids their list of things they needed to clean and they worked hard on it. After we got the house all cleaned Aaron took them to a trampoline park to play.

We had made plans to camp that night at Inks Lake like back in January. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate at all. But luckily these kids have the best Dad in the world and he found a way to set up the tent under our porch in the backyard. The kids were soooo excited.

We still grilled hot dogs and the kids thought it was magical. I let them make some strawberry lemonade and Aaron grilled the hot dogs to perfection.

Then we made s'mores of course. I got lots of chocolate bars and we loaded ourselves up.

The kids seriously thought this was the greatest thing ever.

Then we all loaded up in the tent to read books with Dad. He read to them for a very long time and they loved it. We had so much fun reading together and cuddling together. I looked over to see Camilla playing with Carson's hair and Brooke gave me about a million kisses.

Not sure anyone could love their little family as much as I do.

Aaron stayed in the tent to sleep with the kids and I opted to sleep in my own comfy bed. The kids were so excited that it took them a long time to settle down and finally get to sleep but they all slept well and in the morning Aaron made us all breakfast tacos. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do camping another way again. Sending the kids in to use our own bathroom and cleaning up everything before I went to bed was pretty amazing!!

Remember the Alamo

We had our annual Texas Independence Day celebration this year. I was not so good at taking pictures but we had a lot of fun. The best costume was this one, Marco made this and wore it for his costume. It was pretty awesome. We also had fabulous food and it was a beautiful night so we were able to sit outside and eat. We have such a fun group. I flaunted my big belly with a half tied up cowgirl shirt. We also played a game about the funny names of Texas cities. A good time was had by all. Proud to be a Texan!

Spring Fling

It was time for Carson's Spring Fling this weekend. He has been so excited for this dance. We had to buy tickets the very first day that they were for sell. Then I told him that we could buy a ticket for Camilla and she could go too and he thought about it and said, "well I think I just want it to be me and Dad." So that is just the way Aaron likes it. The boys head off to the dance and me and the girls went to the park.

This year there was a lot less dancing and lot more running around with friends and chasing balloons.

Then afterwards we all met up and went to get some dinner at Shake Shack and ice cream. Carson ate pizza at the dance and still finished off his whole burger and fries at dinner. It was a beautiful night and we had a lot of fun.

Walks

So I love our neighborhood. One of my favorite things about our neighborhood is how beautiful our walks are. We live right by a huge park and the trails run off and through our neighborhood. We have so much fun walking around the small creeks and finding the guinea hens. Our neighborhood cares for these hens and they live in the wild. The girls get so excited when we find them on our walks.

The girls always want to play in the water...still a little too cold. :)

3rd Trimester

I sometimes just have to take a look at my belly and be amazed. I am just amazed with our bodies!! I can't believe how big I am and I know I am just going to keep growing. It amazes me that our bodies grow these little humans inside of us. That we can grow and expand so much, its just incredible. I have finally made it to my 3rd trimester. I always thought I would feel like I was far along when I got here and now I just feel like I still have so much to go. I am feeling the same, still pretty miserable but after the stomach flu it feels more manageable. Baby is just as active as ever and everything is growing right on track. At my last appointment I passed my glucose test (yay!) and my doctor said my belly measured perfect, heart beat was perfect, and weight gain was perfect. I do not take these things for granted. We are very grateful for a healthy and uneventful pregnancy. Alright last trimester, lets do this!

Just some happenings

Just some happenings going with us lately.

Still caring for their babies everyday.

Our little Millie, the other day when I picked her up from preschool she was in a bad mood. She came home throwing a fit and I left her down stairs to get it out of her system. I came down a little bit later to find this. This girl still needs a nap sometimes. :)

She has been riding her bike all over the place and if she can wear her new heart sunglasses while she does it then she will happily do so.

Carson loves to help Daddy work. Even if that means joining in on conference calls.

I don't think I have mentioned Amie before. She has been my lifesaver this pregnancy. She started coming over one afternoon/evening to help me out with the kids when I got pregnant and we sure love her.

And this girl. She just holds my heart in the palm of her hand. I am not sure if all 3rd children are as loved and spoiled as she is. Every single person in our family bends over backwards to make her happy and she goes around the house trying to make everyone else happy. Little miss independent can do just about everything "herself" and even gave up sucking her fingers a month or so ago. She just stopped sucking them all on her own because she decided she didn't need to anymore. I just feel like I could sit and watch her all day long. Oh and she has started saying "what the heck". It just might be the funniest thing ever.

Sick Days

So early Sunday morning I woke up feeling just awful. I knew instantly I was very sick. As soon as Aaron woke up I told him that I had gotten something and felt horribly sick. I turned out to have the stomach flu, food poisoning, who knows but something awful that kept me from keeping a thing in my stomach all day long. I was beyond lucky that it was a Sunday and Aaron was home. He immediately took over everything and took care of the kids all day long. They had a great day. They went to church and for a walk and spent many hours outside (it was a nice day). The kids had popsicles while they watched the sunset.

And they got to share some ice cream after dinner.

Aaron was a saint, he took care of everything as I did not leave the bedroom all day and night. This really wiped me out, getting sick like this while pregnant was pretty awful but our bodies are amazing. I am so amazed at how we are able to recover and eventually go back to normal. And I am amazed at how thoughtful people can be and grateful to have a wonderful husband and friends.
